Hydration is so important for every function of our intricate systems. When you think of hydration, probably one of the first that comes to mind is Gatorade. The commercials make us think that Gatorade is a healthy drink with athletes of every kind guzzling the stuff. Unfortunately, it’s not. It’s full of artificial colors and sweeteners. Of course, water should be on the top of our list, but if you are sweating a decent amount, you need to balance your electrolytes. If you have read any of my posts, you know I love Coconut! The shredded, the oil, the meat… Think of Coconut Water as “the natural Gatorade”. (Try and choose those with only coconut water and no added juice. This will help to keep the sugar to a minimum.) Get it nice and cold and drink up!
